Our Team Gallery

Up on the hill at rent stabilization hearings; legislative candidate housing forums; meeting with our city council members; with television media; tabling for our Initiative IL25-846 "Rent is Too Damn High" and in strategy meetings.
With German RTL Television network reporter in July 2024. They covered our planned Initiative filing, which became necessary for survival. This all due to unsustainable 18% rent increases imposed by private equity landlord who in June 2022 bought our park in secret.

Part of our bi-weekly Little Free Pantry that we tenant organizers were forced to create after our new out-of-state private equity investor landlord raised rents $100 per month while those on food stamps concurrently had their food stamps cut $200 per month. Working with our Mayor ProTempore and the Free Little Food Pantry we were able to create this critical lifeline for our most vulnerable elders--many tenants barely surviving on low fixed Social Security.
